HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s top chess player Lê Quang Liêm suffered unexpected loss in the first round of the  二 五th Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese young talent Nguyễn Anh Khôi took advantage of a good start to beat Senthil Maran of India after  三 八 moves.

Liêm will next meet Indian Dixit Nikhil (Elo  二, 二 四0) and Khôi faces Amin Bassem of Egypt (Elo  二, 六 八 四).
